Online expression course (ZOOM reading presentation competition)

From a parent's point of view, when I looked at my children's presentation last time I had many thoughts such as, why they didn't start preparing earlier, or why they didn't talk more, etc. So, I decided to keep quiet this time and see what they would do. My children were both very happy because Ms.Tamai praised them so much for saying just a few words. I found it quite amazing how not only my children but also other children wanted to talk more when they were praised by Ms. Tamai. I realized that by letting children say even just a few words in front of other children who they met, it is a great step for them to learn. I am really glad that I didn't nitpick my children about their presentations. It's not necessary to be able to do everything perfectly from the beginning. It's a lot more important to motivate and inspire them. They were so excited to find all the books everyone introduced in their presentations. They now have a plan to visit the library to look for them! The presentations make the audience want to read the book not because of the factual information from the books, but rather by the joyful atmosphere of the children. I'm looking forward to attending the next one.

Thank you for providing this presentation competition! I feel like a terrible mother for interfering with my child too much. My son would like to introduce his pet to Ms. Tamai the next time they meet. It will be great if there is a slot left for him for the next time we enroll in the class.

My daughter is not so good at writing, especially when describing her feelings in her diary or essays. So,I hoped that this would be a good opportunity for her to overcome some difficulties. I held back the urge to ask her about the content of her presentation beforehand. Even though she was reluctant to give a presentation, I was happy to see her raising her hand and speaking clearly during the class. She was probably inspired by other children who were actively performing their presentations. I was impressed by the praise, to the point of exaggeration, that Ms. Tamai gave to each child for their presentations. The expressions on the children's faces when they were praised were memorable. So, I consciously praised my children after the course. Normally, I tend to give my kids a hard time about their homework, such as with their diary. I will try to hold back and let them write what they want to write from now on. Thank you very much for providing this opportunity for us.

I participated in Ms.Tamai's reading presentation competition. I agreed with my son's comment that the hour went by in a flash and he couldn't stop feeling his excitement the whole time. The books introduced in their presentations looked very interesting. I'd like to read some of them!

Since my child is a first grader, I was worried that he would not be able to speak well among others. However, the process of reading the book many times and preparing his presentation was a very good experience for him. It was also a good time for all the children to get interested in the books others were presenting. Thank you very much for the precious time.

My son, who participated as an audience, was inspired by the presenters. Everyone looked very cool presenting their own opinions confidently.

Since I do not normally have a chance to interact with those children, I was very inspired by their creative power. It made me realize that it will be the norm for us to be connected to people even when we are far away from each other. The children were able to meet Ms. Tamai online, and it was wonderful to see how she affirmed each child with praises, and created an atmosphere where the children could present without any fear of making mistakes.

I enjoyed watching the presentations, though my daughter was very disappointed that she couldn't present as she was in the gallery slot. It would be great if the students who were not selected last time could have an opportunity to present their work next.

Lecture of Tamaishiki

The lecture given by Ms.Tamai was great.
Though there are times when I am not sure of how to raise my children, I still like to cherish the time of listening to them, smiling at them, and telling them how much I love them.

This is the fourth or fifth lecture of Ms. Tamai. Each time, I am encouraged by its wonderful contents and realize the essence of education.

Ms. Tamai's expressions and realistic examples gave me strengths.
In particular, her expression, "My little treasure is acting up today!". This is exactly how it is in our house too, so I enjoyed listening to her talk and felt relieved.

The hour and a half flew by as if I was being cheered on as I raised my child. There were parts of the lecture that pierced my heart and made me wish that I had listened to Ms. Tamai's lecture earlier. She spoke to the children, including my daughter there. I hope it gave my daughter, who tends to say "I can't do it", deep motivation and influence. I would like to attend the lecture again.

It was yet another great lecture. Every time I attend Ms. Tamai's lecture, it makes me realize the happiness in raising children and some important issues of child-rearing and education. Her speech recharges me for more parenting. Thank you so much. I'm looking forward to attending her next lecture.

She taught me many things that are important at this time of my children's age. It was great that the questions I had submitted for the lecture earlier were answered in the lecture. Her talk with a lot of humor and love was very engaging. I also appreciated hearing her comments about Japanese education issues from a global perspective. I would be very happy to attend her lecture again.
